Travel to the rhythm of the most beautiful jazz melodies for Big Band as interpreted by the most prestigious soloists. From the beginnings of Billie Holiday and the Artie Shaw Orchestra, Peggy Lee’s candor to Carmen McRae’s humor and Anita O’Day’s inflections, relive fifty years of arrangements created for captivating singers.
Then in the second set, the featured vocalist will present us with her own personal arrangements, new creations and original pieces from the different albums from her discography including, Le Carré de nos amours, Triades and Le cœur à l’endroit. These works will also highlight regular collaborating musicians of the Orchestre National de Jazz; Marianne Trudel, Jean-Nicolas Trottier, Luc Beaugrand, Alexandre Coté et Jean-Pierre Zanella. Plus, she will also receive an accomplice, crooner Steven Taetz, to share a duet that she performed with him on the album Drink You from a recent release from this Toronto artist.
